this can be used as a good basis for living with your dog:

  1. Reward good behaviour frequently with treats, games, praise and positive attention
  2. Train 2 or 3 sessions of 3 minutes a day on days you don’t attend training classes
  3. Play with your dog for at least 10 minutes
  4. Make time to just relax together; stroking or massaging your dog if they enjoy it, or just ‘being with’ your dog in companionable silence
  5. Make sure your dog has a balanced diet and plenty of fresh water
